AR. HJ ABDUL RAHMAN RICHARD ABDULLAH

AR. Haji Abdul Rahman Richard bin Abdullah is the Managing Director of Reliant Oilfield Sdn Bhd company. Abdul Rahman Richard Abdullah was born in October, 1969 in Tuaran, Sabah. He had his earlier education in Tuaran prior to being chosen as a Sabah Foundation sponsored scholar from 1982 to 1986 in Pahang. He later completed his Diploma in Architecture at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Johor in 1991 prior to pursuing a degree in the same field at the Universiti Teknologi MARA from 1991-1994. Abdul Rahman obtained his professional architectural license in 2003.

Abdul Rahman started his career as a Project Architect in 1994 at FAA Architect, prior to enhancing his career at Teknikarya Arkitek in 1996. He later moved to Radicare (M) Sdn Bhd as an Assistant Project Director in 1998, where he was tasked to undertake major project developments, which included being in-charge of the construction of the Selayang Hospital.

His interest in business led Abdul Rahman to set up Abdul Rahman Richard Architect (ARRA) in 2003, which was involved in a multitude of government and private sector projects around the country, including the Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP) and the soon to be constructed Hospital Universiti Malaysia Sabah (HUMS) amongst others.

Abdul Rahman then diversified his business interests through the formation of Medic Planner Sdn Bhd (focusing on the setting up and construction of hospitals), Tunjang Jitu Sdn Bhd (A CIDB-registered Class A contractor) and Kipcare Sdn Bhd (an international medical gloves manufacturer). The companies have since undergone a corporate restructuring process whereby they are placed under a corporate structure helmed by Abdul Rahman’s holding company; ARRA Properties Sdn Bhd.

Abdul Rahman took over Reliant Oilfield Sdn Bhd (ROFSB), an integrated petroleum and gas services company in 2015. The company is 100% Sabah-owned as well as being the only company from Sabah with Category -1 PETRONAS license. ROFSB is presently pursuing several opportunities at national and international levels, and is the only Sabah-owned company invited by PETRONAS to bid in the PAN- MALAYSIA project. The company is based in Sabah with its operations office located at Wangsa Maju offices in Kuala Lumpur.

Wan Rahimah binti Wan Abd Rahim is a well-known and accomplished leader, currently serving as the Director of the Manpower Division at Reliant Oilfield Sdn Bhd, a position she has held with exemplary dedication since 2020. Born in March 1967 in the vibrant metropolis of Kuala Lumpur, Wan Rahimah boasts an illustrious career spanning three decades, with an enviable portfolio of senior management roles across diverse industries. A highly respected figure in the corporate world, she has honed her expertise over 25 years in decision-making roles, notably as a Director and Shareholder, steering organizations toward unparalleled success.

A product of an esteemed educational institution, Wan Rahimah’s academic journey culminated in a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration (Hons) from North University of Malaysia in 1992, where she earned distinction as a Dean’s List scholar in 1991. Her education was further enriched by the prestigious sponsorship from the Public Service Department (JPA), a testament to her exceptional potential and dedication.

Wan Rahimah's foray into the realm of manpower and recruitment commenced in 1993 when she joined Daya Gail Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gail Force Australia, as a Recruitment Consultant and Director. Here, she began to lay the foundation for her distinguished career. Her remarkable talents were further recognized when she transitioned to Eden Brown (M) Sdn Bhd, a leading UK-based manpower and construction company, where she contributed to the company’s expansion and success.

Despite the challenges posed by Malaysia’s economic slowdown, Wan Rahimah demonstrated resilience and versatility by pivoting to a senior role at Danamodal Nasional Berhad, a subsidiary of Bank Negara Malaysia, from 1998 to 1999. Her exceptional leadership qualities led to her selection for a high-profile role at PUNB Ventures Berhad, where she became a key member of the Danamodal-selected team. Undeterred by the challenges of a war-torn environment, Wan Rahimah further expanded her global experience during her tenure with Petronas, where she contributed to critical projects in Sudan, showcasing her indomitable spirit and unwavering commitment to excellence.

In 2006, driven by her entrepreneurial ambition, Wan Rahimah co-founded and became a Shareholder and Director of Petrominwork Sdn Bhd and Petrominwork Consulting Sdn Bhd. Under her stewardship, the companies flourished as key players in the manpower supply industry, with Wan Rahimah overseeing all aspects of operations, from policy formulation to project management, talent acquisition, and the development of end-to-end management services.

In her current role at Reliant Oilfield Sdn Bhd, Wan Rahimah spearheads the company’s manpower division, overseeing recruitment, training, tender & proposal and strategic talent acquisition initiatives. Her visionary leadership has been instrumental in the development and execution of innovative workforce strategies that align with the company’s ambitious growth trajectory. As a dynamic force in the manpower and technical sector, she continues to shape the future of Reliant Oilfield Sdn Bhd, driving it toward ever greater heights of success.
